All domain names registered, renewed, managed, brokered or sold by domainname.co.uk are subject to the following Terms & Conditions.

Domain Name Prices & Availability 

    1. Prices and availability of domain names advertised on domainname.co.uk are believed to be accurate at the time of publication. We reserve the right to withdraw from a sale or registration in the event of a genuine pricing error or where a domain is no longer available.

    1. If a domain name is unavailable or incorrectly priced, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and any payment received will be refunded to the original payment method.

    1. domainname.co.uk shall not be liable for any costs, losses or damages arising from the withdrawal of a sale, failed registration attempt or domain unavailability.

    1. Customers are advised not to incur third-party costs or enter into contractual obligations relating to a domain name until ownership or registration has been fully confirmed.

 

Buy It Now Purchases via Afternic

    1. Certain domain name purchases may be processed through our aftermarket sales partner Afternic and are subject to their applicable terms and escrow procedures.

    1. domainname.co.uk will clearly outline whether a domain purchase is being facilitated via Afternic before payment is made.

    1. Once payment has been secured through the relevant escrow or marketplace process, transfer instructions will be provided to the buyer.

    1. Domain transfers will only be considered complete once the buyer has gained control of the domain name and the payment provider has confirmed completion of the transaction.

Offers

    1. Any offer submitted for a domain name may be accepted, rejected or countered at our sole discretion.

    1. Offers made by domainname.co.uk are subject to domain availability and may be withdrawn at any time before payment is completed.

    1. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment must be completed within 5 working days of an offer being accepted.

    1. Any escrow, brokerage or payment processing fees may be added to the final transaction value where applicable.

 

Domain Registrations

    1. Domain registrations are subject to registry availability and are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

    1. All .uk domain registrations are managed in accordance with the policies and terms of Nominet.

    1. domainname.co.uk operates in compliance with applicable registry policies and registrar obligations.

 

Your Obligations

    1. You agree that any domain registered or managed through domainname.co.uk will:

    • Not be used unlawfully;

    • Not infringe upon the rights of any third party;

    • Not be used for abusive, fraudulent or malicious purposes;

    • Not knowingly breach intellectual property rights.

    1. You acknowledge that whilst we will endeavour to secure your chosen domain name, we cannot guarantee successful registration even if the domain appears available at the time of enquiry.

    1. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date contact information including:

    • Full name;

    • Postal address;

    • Telephone number;

    • Email address;

    • Company information where applicable.

    1. You acknowledge that providing false or misleading information may result in suspension, cancellation or loss of the domain registration.

    1. You are responsible for maintaining accurate registrant information at all times.

 

Domain Renewals & Expiry

For domains managed directly by domainname.co.uk:

    1. Renewal reminders may be sent before a domain reaches its expiry date using the contact information held on file.

    1. Domains will only renew automatically where an auto-renewal arrangement has been agreed or enabled by the customer.

    1. Failure to renew a domain may result in suspension, interruption of services or eventual deletion of the domain name.

    1. Certain domain extensions may enter grace or redemption periods after expiry where restoration remains possible. Additional recovery or restoration fees may apply.

    1. Once a domain has been deleted from the registry it may become available for public re-registration on a first-come, first-served basis.

    1. Customers are responsible for ensuring their contact information and billing details remain accurate to avoid failed renewals.

For domains not managed directly by domainname.co.uk:

    1. Renewal reminders may not be issued.

    1. Customers should refer to the policies of the registrar currently managing the domain name.

    1. domainname.co.uk accepts no responsibility for expired domains held with third-party registrars.

 

Domain Charges

    1. Registration and renewal pricing varies depending on the domain extension and registration term selected.

    1. Pricing will always be displayed clearly before checkout or renewal.

    1. Transfers of .uk domains away from domainname.co.uk are generally free of charge, although we are not responsible for charges imposed by third-party registrars.

    1. Additional services including brokerage, DNS management, hosting or aftermarket services may carry separate fees.

 

Complaints, Abuse & Support

    1. We aim to acknowledge most enquiries within one business day.

    1. Abuse complaints relating to phishing, malware, spam or illegal activity are reviewed as quickly as reasonably possible.

    1. Complaints may also be submitted in writing to our registered business address listed on our Contact page.

Customers should be aware that .uk domains are also subject to the policies and terms of Nominet.
